The story

Nottingham Forest means red, so here is a surprise: blue and black vertical stripes from Umbro, a round collar with blue trim and black cuffs. On the chest the Umbro diamond, the tree crest and the Capital One sponsor.

Two European Cups in a row under Brian Clough in 1979 and 1980, and a quarter of a century later football one level below the Premier League. In 2005 Forest dropped to League One, the first European Cup winners to play in the third tier of their own country. This shirt comes from exactly those seasons.
