White mesh-textured fabric with red side panels and thin black piping along the raglan seams. The polo collar is red with a black and white edge and opens onto a red V insert, and the cuffs are red too. Across the chest: the redbus sponsor in red, the Le Coq Sportif triangle and the round Charlton crest with the sword.
Charlton Athletic came back to the Premier League in 2000 as First Division champions and, under Alan Curbishley, finished 2000/01 in 9th place as a newly promoted side. Charlton wear red at home, so white was the change shirt. The Le Coq Sportif neck label gives the size in inches: 38/40 (97/102 cm), and the flat measurements match a modern L.
